A candle snuffer, a great Etsy shop for kantha quilts, and more chrome than you can shake a stick at
Sweets for my sweeties:
Dansk silver catch all — $48
A hugely pleasing shape with the kind of reflective polish that makes it somewhat amorphous — the mirrored surface appears to shift the moment you think you’ve gathered what you’re looking at.
Landscape painting — $80
Sweet, small, and very suitably framed (always a bonus!).
Terra cotta face bowl — $32
I’m starting to realize that, similar to how there are chairs just for looking at and not sitting in, there are bowls and plates that are meant to be displayed as art and not actually used for serving. This is one of those.
Aluminum trinket dish — $54
This sexy-ass dish! My god.
Enamel on copper plate — $35
Swirly, shiny, gorgeous, green.
Spiral candle snuffer — $54
A candle snuffer is one of the superfluous items that I embrace wholeheartedly. Yes I can blow my candles out (and still do half the time), but I find the use of a snuffer charmingly antiquated and, perhaps more importantly, lovely to look at. I’m sure you’ve gathered by now my fondness for a sculptural table top object ;)
Kantha quilt — $54
Soooooo many beautiful vintage kantha quilts in this shop. I’m trying to find one large enough to fold at the end of our bed (most I’ve found are small throw size) but I honestly think I could stitch two together and achieve the effect I want. I think kantha quilts are beautiful and practical to keep draped on the couch or use as picnic blankets.
Chrome orb lamp — $85
Styling instructions: this on a console table shining up to spotlight a piece of art hanging on the wall.
Ceramic plate — $90
I have not seen anything like this ceramicist’s work before which is a scintillating feeling. So many cool pieces in their shop — I also like these more moody ones.
And deviating from our home goods focus for a few notable fashion/accessory finds this week:
Drawstring bag — $52
A fun vintage bag that can fit an iPhone?! The holy grail.
Handmade onyx necklace — $79
Chonky, abstract, adjustable length, and kind of has the look of being two stones you picked up from the coast of Maine? Peak summer jewelry to me.
Custom made suede fisherman sandals — $133
Ordering shoes that you can’t easily return feels like a risk but this particular pair and the shop in general has so many glowing reviews (with photos!) which has earned it a spot in the newsletter. I’m tempted.

Parting notes
I’m traveling for the next week-ish doing some solo time in London and then a group trip in the Cotswolds focused on gardens and interiors co-hosted by
and B. Brooks.I feel entirely unprepared for next week’s paid subscriber post because I would like to be OOO but it feels too soon to be skipping email sends (seems akin to starting a new job and then taking PTO?). I guess we will find out what I choose to do next Monday! Playing it fast and loose as usual lol (which will come as no surprise if you read my post last week reflecting on three years as a part-time content creator and how I make it all happen).
I have wanted a authentic Kantha quilt for a long time & this is the one <3 Thank you for sharing
Wow those quilts are awesome.
