A superior form of fruit bowl, a platter to hang as art, and one really good painting
Goodies have landed:
Pedestal bowl — $65
I use a bowl like this for produce in our kitchen and I really like the extra counter space it allows and visual height variation amongst my other countertop accoutrements. This one is of course 100x better than mine though because it’s STRIPED.
French enamel caddy — $65
I love when I get served a salty snack at a bar in a little caddy. I usually see them with three compartments in stainless steel (like at Altro Paradiso below), but this one would work just as well and the blue checker motif is cuter.
Marbled platter — $66
The shipping from Germany hurts for those of us in the US (my EU residents: snap this up!), but I find this STUPENDOUS and I would hang it on my wall as art. And, frankly, if I saw it in a store for $150 I wouldn’t bat an eye.
Perfectly imperfect trinket dish — $22
If you need to scratch the marbled, swirly ceramic itch for a no-brainer price, this is the ticket.
Clamp lamp — $139
Not vintage, these cuties are made in Ukraine. I think the red + wood + bulbous shape is a surprising, and thus intriguing, combo.
Tiny lime lamp — $55
Funky shape 🤝 funky color.
Plaster bust — $156
The carved texture of the hair and beard is REALLY doing it for me. This is the second head sculpture I’ve found lately that I love and it either means I’m less picky than I previously thought, or I should indulge my good fortune and buy one.
Accordion hanging rack — $115
A great price for one of these vintage (often French, it seems?) accordion coat racks. Love the warmth and visual interest they bring. Personally, I would use this to hang up my various bags and purses that are currently being “stored” in a pile on the floor.
Bamboo motif mirror — $140
I just found this Wisconsin-based shop on Etsy that sources themselves in France. Their prices seem very competitive to me considering that by buying through them I’m able to avoid international shipping, any potential tariffs, and the cost of a flight to Paris lol. This mirror is very sweet.
Coastal oil painting — $140
Another piece from the same shop as above. They have a ton of lovely oil paintings in stock right now worth checking out.
Lattice ceramic trivet — $24
Love when I can find the beautiful version of a functional object.
We visited friends in Cleveland in April and they had a pair of glasses on their bar cart that I have thought of many times since. The artist is Pattern Play Glass and while their site doesn’t have any current inventory for sale, a couple of similar options have made their way into my favorites.
This fun pair — $110
And this duo — $84
It’s worth noting that this Canadian artist seems very open to doing custom sets of glasses and bowls in whatever colors your heart desires! I love when I find a maker that is open to commissions and custom orders.
A tangentially related sighting that sent me on an internet browse — this vase I saw on Instagram 👆. Unlike a lot of the Murano millefiori glassware that is entirely made up of small flower-like shapes, this one has just a sparse smattering. I love the restraint. I was able to find a similar and reasonably priced option (since the one above is featured at a cool NYC gallery which makes me afraid to know the price):
Peachy Murano vase — $47
Yes a beautiful vase but also perhaps the right size to dispense tissues out of?! I’ve always got that in the back of my mind.
Figurative green sculpture — $1.9k
Okay I am leaving you with this gorgeous, wow-wow-wow sculpture. Is it an attainable price point for most of us? Probably not. But if you happen to be looking for a magnificent piece of art, perhaps this sculpture fits the bill? If I were considering buying this piece, I’d do some digging and see if I could reach out to the seller directly (looks like this seller is a gallery?) and see if they’d be willing to sell outside of Etsy so they can save on fees and I could potentially get a lower price.

Parting notes
These star candle holders drew a few questions when I shared them on stories this week. They’re just cheap-y little things I picked up at a holiday pop up this past winter, but they’re also readily available on Etsy. The candles in mine are from a recent estate sale but similar here.
Next week I’ll be doing a longer letter for paid subscribers pulling back the curtain on the three years I’ve spent running my Tremont Home Instagram account — how I ended up as a part time content creator (not intentionally), how much time I spend making content (way more than I want to admit), and how much money I earn from it (not a lot lol). If that interests you and you’re a free subscriber, now’s the time to upgrade so you get it in your inbox next Monday!
Would recommend Sirius Glassworks (also Canadian) for glass items in a related style siriusglassworks.com
Love the article.
I've just started on Etsy and getting lots of views but no sales.
Would you mind me asking if you'd take a look, you're just the type of customer I would hope to attract but up to this point......... nothing.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
