Artful functional objects, chartreuse, Pierce & Ward style pendant light shades
Into the void!
Sculptural bookend — $54
Finding functional items that are also art is ALWAYS the goal.
Enamelware pitcher — $25
One chartreuse object begets another — this pitcher would be very good as a vase.
Pair of marbled glass lamp shades — $82
These are so divine. Would definitely take a bit of finagling to find a pendant light you could affix them to but if you did, you could feel so smug. They very much have the look of something Pierce & Ward would source that I would then look at with envy when I see them styled in Emma Roberts’ home.
Metallic espresso cup and saucer — $58
I wish I drank liquids in small enough quantities to warrant the ownership of all the charming, beguiling, irresistible espresso cups I come across.
Pair of wood marquetry frames — $108
“If one is good, a pair is better” is an aphorism I cannot defend wholly (sometimes you genuinely only need one!) but have come welcomed into my heart regardless. Whenever I see a pair of vintage items, their value and specialness is immediately increased — applies to lamps, chairs, candle sticks (of course), and now: frames.
Striped studio pottery vase — $29
A perplexing (and thus, to me, delightful) shape.
Vintage folk art carved wood head — $62
I love a weird little face/head sculpture, but 9 times out of 10, the ones I come across are nearly right, but not quite — too uncanny valley, too amateurish, too serious, too kooky. The qualifications for a face I am willing to bring into my home defy articulation, I just know it when I see it. This one passes that test.
Carved wood box — $44
I want this on my coffee table to hold my lip balms, gua sha, and ponytail holders because while I do not believe my coffee table to be the appropriate place for these items to live, it IS where they end up.
Marbled paper lampshade — $60
Drawn to this lampshade because it’s a mishmash of two patterns I love in interiors: a graphic floral and marbling. Also not astronomically priced as far as lampshades go.
Bejeweled silver bowl — $89
Too crazy or JUST ENOUGH?!
